Argonauts’ Diary
Argonauts’ Diary is a collection of sketches found at a betting shop, depicting chronicles of risk and success expectation spread out in time. Once the bets are done, the majority of gamblers remain around the tables in a big hall anxiously awaiting the results, and while communicating they start mechanically sketching on bits of paper laid out for the next bets. As the main subject of my interest is visual recording of mental states driven through the socialization among the random micro groups, I see the collection of these sketches gathered from the same betting shop over several years as a metaphorical portrait of a particular society.
